ABOUT US

Positive Passtime Community Resource Center, founded in 2001 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has been a transformative force for Gwinnett County, Georgia’s economically distressed communities. In response to massive unemployment and economic decline, we developed programs that empower individuals to build resilience, improve their circumstances, and achieve long-term self-sufficiency. Since our inception, we have successfully helped hundreds of families overcome financial hardship and break the cycle of poverty through job training, educational support, and emergency resources.
Strategic partnerships that amplify our impact significantly enhance our commitment to inclusive and far-reaching support. By collaborating with Jacobs Ladder, we have significantly expanded our services to support adults with disabilities better, providing life-changing resources that foster independence, job skills, and enhanced quality of life. Furthermore, through our partnership with Hands and Feet Ministries International, we offer critical humanitarian aid to Liberia, Africa, addressing urgent needs and fostering sustainable development abroad, significantly increasing our global impact.
Together, we create tangible opportunities for growth, dignity, and empowerment—changing lives both at home and across the globe. Positive Passtime is steadfast in its commitment to building a stronger future for all, with a proven track record of impactful change that attracts funding, support, and collaboration.
Our Approach to Youth Development
For the past 23 years, Positive Passtime has redefined youth development by focusing on the power of preventive programming and celebrating success. While many youth programs document failures, and media outlets highlight youth crime, teenage pregnancy, and lack of workforce readiness, we take a different path. We are committed to focusing on solutions, not problems. Our programs have empowered underserved youth to create positive change, transforming their lives and communities.
Under the guidance of our founder and a dedicated Board of Directors, Positive Passtime has developed proven, scalable solutions that foster resilience, leadership, and long-term success. Our innovative approach has reached hundreds of children, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive. Whether through mentoring, educational support, or community involvement, we’ve seen the transformative power of our programs in action.
We are well-positioned to meet the critical needs of the next generation, both locally and abroad. Join us in this mission—your support, sponsorship, or volunteer efforts will contribute to building a brighter future for youth in need.
